A coach bus overturned after colliding with multiple vehicles on New York's Long Island Expressway, killing two people and injuring 20. Investigation continues.

Two people were killed and at least 20 others injured after a coach bus crashed and overturned on the Long Island Expressway in New York late Monday night, authorities said.
According to emergency officials, the accident occurred just before midnight near Exit 16 at Greenpoint Avenue when the coach bus collided with two vehicles before overturning and striking two additional vehicles traveling on the opposite side of the highway.
The victims who lost their lives were identified as the bus driver and one passenger. Authorities have not yet released their identities, and it remains unclear how many passengers were aboard the bus or its intended destination.
Emergency responders reported that 20 people suffered injuries, including three in critical condition, two with serious injuries, and 15 with minor injuries. Nearly 100 emergency personnel responded to the crash site to assist victims and clear the wreckage.
The crash caused major disruptions along the Long Island Expressway, with traffic backing up for miles overnight. Witnesses reported seeing stranded motorists leaving their vehicles and walking along the highway as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Authorities expect traffic delays to continue while investigators examine the cause of the crash.
Officials have not announced what may have led to the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Emergency services continue to urge motorists to avoid the affected area and use alternate routes whenever possible.
